Seeking God Alone : The Biblical Call to Direct Relationship with CHRIST

In a world filled with traditions, religious customs, and denominational teachings, it’s easy to follow inherited beliefs without ever questioning their alignment with God’s Word.

Many of us, including myself, have grown up with traditions that seemed biblical but, upon deeper study, did not fully align with what Scripture teaches.

One of the most critical truths we must understand as believers is that our 👉🏼 salvation, prayers, and relationship with God should be rooted in Christ alone.👆🏻 The Bible repeatedly teaches that Jesus is our only Savior, our sole mediator, and the one who intercedes for us before the Father. Yet, many religious practices have added layers between God and His people, directing prayers through saints, Mary, or human traditions rather than directly to the Father.

🙌🏽 JESUS Is Our ONLY Savior

📖 Acts 4:12 – "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Growing up as a Catholic, for many years, I was taught to pray to Mary, believing she played a role in my salvation. But when I began studying Scripture deeply, I realized that *JESUS ALONE* is our Redeemer. No one else has the power to forgive sins, grant eternal life, or bring us into a right relationship with God.

📖 John 14:6 – "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"

If Jesus Himself says that *HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER*, why would we seek another way through Mary, saints, or priests? God desires direct fellowship with us.

Who Should We Pray To?

Many believe that asking Mary or saints to intercede is just like asking another believer to pray for us. But *THERE IS A KEY DIFFERENCE*—those who have passed on are no longer in this world. Nowhere in the Bible are we instructed to pray to them. Instead, Scripture explicitly tells us to pray to God alone.

📖 1 Timothy 2:5 – "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus."

📖 Philippians 4:6 – "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

The Bible does not teach us to present our requests to Mary or saints. Rather, it encourages us to go boldly before God’s throne through Jesus Christ.

The Dangers of Following Tradition Over Scripture

Many religious practices rely on tradition rather than biblical truth. Jesus Himself warned about this.

📖 Mark 7:8 – "You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.

It’s crucial to examine everything we believe and test it against God’s Word. If a tradition or teaching contradicts Scripture, we must choose God’s truth over man-made customs.

How to Live Out This Truth

1. Read Scripture Daily – Spend time in the Bible to understand God’s will without human interpretation clouding it.

2. Pray Directly to God – Approach the Father with confidence through Jesus, knowing He hears you.

3. Ask the Holy Spirit for Discernment – The Spirit will guide you into all truth (John 16:13).

4. Test Traditions Against Scripture – If a belief or practice is not found in God’s Word, reconsider its place in your life.

5. Share the Truth in Love – Encourage others to seek God alone and study His Word for themselves.

A Call to Seek Jesus First

If you have been relying on traditions, intercessions of saints, or religious customs that are not found in Scripture, I encourage you to seek Jesus alone. He is more than enough, and He calls each of us into a personal, direct relationship with Him.

📖 Hebrews 4:16 – "Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence."

Would you be open to reading Scripture alone and asking the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to you?

How to Trust God When Everything Seems Impossible #FaithOverFear

Life is full of challenges, and sometimes, these challenges can feel insurmountable. We face situations where the odds are stacked against us, where solutions seem out of reach, and where despair starts to creep in. In these moments, trusting God can feel difficult, yet it is precisely during these times that our faith is most crucial. Here’s how to trust God even when everything seems impossible. 1. Remember God’s Faithfulness in the Past When facing seemingly impossible circumstances, it’s important to remember the times when God has come through for you in the past. Reflect on past situations where God’s guidance, provision, and love were evident in your life. The Bible is filled with stories of God’s faithfulness, such as when He parted the Red Sea for the Israelites ( Exodus 14:21-22 ) or when He provided manna in the wilderness ( Exodus 16:4 ). Remembering these instances strengthens our faith and helps us to trust that God will be faithful again. Scripture Reference: "The L...
